i love your face, i love your skin, i love your hands and your feet and your nose. the way your armpits smell after a shower, how you tuck my face into your neck in bed, how you know just what to say. how you and my cat are now best friends, how you kiss him goodbye in the morning every day, too. you know to humor me when i'm being crazy because i humor you every day when you are. you make me feel so pretty and smart and capable. you're a genuinely good guy. very rough around the edges, but i'm making a good dent in that. i've never met anyone like you. anyone that i've really ever loved with my whole heart. i know what it feels like now. to have absolutely no reservations. i am so happy you were born. |
