an easy solution.

this is a quick little entry related to absolutely nothing - i actually started one of some substance the other day but i was having a hard time articulating so it's kind of just simmering on the back burner for now. i hope i get back to it.

anyway, so i was watching ytbe videos the other day and one came up in my recommendations for how to salvage that last little bit of wax from your jar candles. it always seems like you have an inch, maybe 3/4" left in there of a great candle and you don't want to waste it, and you also don't want to shatter the jars.

so hey, i learned it's as easy as just boiling a kettle of water, on a nice hard boil, then pouring some directly into the candle jar. the hot water will melt the wax, it'll rise to the top and eventually harden as it cools, then you just pluck out the wax layer, pour out the water, and recycle the jars. then, use the wax disc in your wax warmer.

woo! so happy about this. now i'm enjoying this pumpkin caramel swirl candle that i burned out like two years ago, but still was lugged over here to my new home because the jar was so pretty and the wax was so strongly scented i could smell it with the lid off.

so yeah, hope that helped someone like me who for some reason never thought to just google a solution to this problem!

boss and i spent most of the day driving around talking about major changes to the business, which i'm pretty excited about, but i'll write about next time.
