update on that earlier situation: he came home on the phone, in tears, promising he'd try to help her however he can. she's in kentucky, which i think is a good thing because she's removed herself from the situation here. she wants him to take over her mortgage, but he can't even make a $120 phone payment half the time, so bringing that up was just ridiculous. i don't know what he's going to do about that other than calling his estranged grandmother and asking if she can take care of the whole mortgage for a few months (it's a duplex and she owns half the house) until he gets his act together. he did go over there to check, and scumbag was there, but his uncle got to the house before he did so no fights broke out. which is good, because he said if his uncle HADN'T been there? i would have been bailing him out of jail this evening. his mom said she's not coming back anymore. ridiculously high-paying secretary job, security, house, everything out the window at 50 years old. so stupid, but this is what she wanted. she should know better by now. no matter what, you always choose your family first. |
