in most ways, i am almost annoyingly easy-going. i'm one of those people whose most common response is "cool, dude" to pretty much whatever circumstances arise. hey, want to throw these plans to the wind and do something else? cool, dude. want to try this weird fucking restaurant that's several miles away on foot? cool, dude. at the last minute before a long day trip: do YOU mind driving 2 hours to our destination because i have outstanding tickets in [state] and they'll tow my car? cool, dude. all that shit is cool, man, until you propose to me a situation in which i am getting fucked, and not in the awesome fun penis way. when the situation leads to me even possibly getting not-fun fucked, i become the biggest control freak ever. psychotic levels of micromanagement. i cannot be in both of these states at once. i must be either cool dude who does not care, or i MUST be the captain of the ship. if the ship we are on is sinking, that is the definition of a situation in which i might potentially be fucked, so you'd better move the fuck over and let me take the wheel. |
