#1, i really wonder what it is that's causing me to get hit on SO much more than usual. it's really noticeable. has it always been this much and i just didn't notice? is it because i'm in my work clothes? i dress pretty much the same for work and casually though, i thought? hmm.

#2, i did a major sale completely by myself yesterday, unassisted. it was so awesome. i got paid a little commission too! i had originally posted the listing and the customers said they REALLY wanted it THAT DAY and to please wait for them to come in, and ER was like fuck this i'm not staying til 9pm and went home. when they finally showed up, boss was like go on out there and do it! so i'm like errr okay? and it ended up working out great! did all of the paperwork by myself, took all of the cash and just rocked out the whole thing start to finish. good times! i was really excited about it, but in the back of my mind a little sad because i know it was kind of a test to see if i could handle this stuff in the likely event that ER has to be let go.

#3, since the beginning of this business, there has been a giant sign saying if you don't pay for your shit, we'll come repo it. so since it's a small business, boss was trying to be cool and give people a little slack, but of course people took this as "walk all over me," and have been. i have sat here and watched/listened to him call the same people over and over, week after week, leaving messages asking them to pay or at least come in and pay what they can, or at the very very least just call and let us know what's up so we can try to figure something out. they've clearly been like fuck this guy, i'mma keep doing whatever i want because he's been saying for 6 months that he's going repo my shit and hasn't. a few of them have been loling all over town, bragging that this is the best place to buy stuff because you don't have to pay for it.

so finally we found this cutthroat, grizzled, tattooed old badass to do our repo stuff. he's asking a super reasonable price and gives no fucks about the kind of maniacs who shop here (we're in a very small town where everyone knows each other but it's also kind of the hood). amazingly, the first target he found and snatched easily. the people came in less than an hour later, totally flipping shit. like really? we've literally called you at least once a week, and sent several letters to your home, at least one of them certified. and you are really going to walk in here and say "why did you repo my [x]?" (this was word for word.)

then the second guy was someone boss has known for a long time, who i remember came in here around when i first started, and was going on and on about how he's good for it, don't worry, even though i just declared bankruptcy i'd never stiff you, we've known each other for years. guy never even makes his first payment. when we manage to get him on the phone after a couple of months, he claims that he purchased under his name for his nephew or whatever, it's the nephew who isn't paying. then we never hear from him again. 100% fucking ghosts on us.

repo dude finds this guy, hiding his shit at another location which he happened to have mentioned 4 months ago when he was spinning this nephew yarn. literally an hour later, his phone magically works again and he is able to contact us and he too is flipping shit as to why we repoed his shit. oh hoooo, so it WASN'T your nephew, eh? and ohhh interesting! now your phone works, i see! how convenient!!
