what a time to be alive. and i mean that in two ways. first, like ... 2020, man. second, because it's a beautiful spring day. quiet outside except for the birds. orangey late afternoon sun streaming through my windows. 77 degrees. i cleaned my whole place and smoked half a bowl and my sushi was delivered with perfect timing. it's so spicy and good! fresh sheets on my bed. mr. big curled up in my sweatshirt at the end of the bed. yell hi to best friend through the window. my stimulus check came. the trees are green again. right now, i am alive and perfectly comfortable and safe and free. yesterday, while i was driving on an even more perfect day, i was trying to think of why i love this new genre of music i'm into. it just makes me tingle with good vibes. and i realized that to me, it sounds like this kind of day feels. it's just so easy and carefree. you don't even need any words, you just sit back and close your eyes and smile. there's so much out there to worry about. but not today. |
