this road is hilly with some bumps
warm and smooth, a soft ride
every inch familiar
except that one mole near your shoulder
(surprises me every time)
my fingers my knuckles sliding in tandem
slow down as i jump the curb of your shoulder blades
then find a detour through their narrow canyon
i stop to sightsee
and listen to you breathe
