today, this afternoon, boy and i are headed out to spend the better part of the weekend with my parents. it's been a really long time since we've voluntarily done something like this. i'm a little bit anxious, but things have been decent with them lately, so we'll see. i am really thankful for boy at times like this, because he doesn't really like my parents that much but can politely tolerate and interact with them, but if i say "hey we need to bail the fuck out" he will have no qualms about doing so. we'll see. |
