quick update on last night:

what a strange and wonderful universe! i wrote about all that stuff last night and my brother woke me with a phone call today. he was telling me all of the things that he and SIL were going to do to save the relationship. he started talking about our parents, and i took the opportunity and ran with it. i told him what i had worked through in therapy and sent him some of my favorite and most effective resources (podcasts, audiobooks). he said thank you and he appreciates it and will definitely do it. i'm so excited for him to start this process. i hope he does it and sticks with it. 30 years of darkness is enough. now it's time to feel the sun. |
