last night my brother called me to tell me about how he had the absolute best day ever. throughout the 20 minute phone call, as he recounted the events of his awesome day, he was getting increasingly excited, like fucking yelling into the phone with joy. and i'm like dude! i love how excited you are right now. you're like shouting. and he says, "yeah dude, i am so high on life right now! i want to get out and just run next to my car that's going 62mph, then get back in and when i get pulled over i'll tell the cop what happened and i'll write him a ticket which he'll pay to me, in cash!" i laughed so hard i cried. but seriously, part of what made his day totally win was the fact that he went into work and asked if he could get off a little early on easter because boy and i might be heading down, and his boss said hey man, let me do you a solid. now you have the whole weekend off, and the following monday too! so awesome, can't wait. it's good to have something to look forward to. |
