snow, organizing, pancakes.

i just wanted to update to say that my wish from yesterday came true - it was snowing when i woke up <3 it snowed almost all day until a couple of hours ago. we got about 3.5, 4 inches. it was really nice. low traffic, hardly any customers, i had the best fucking lunch (homemade of course, thanks self), and boss and i locked ourselves in our office and did a bunch of bills and paperwork and listened to "rainy day" jazz playlists on ytbe. now i'm home early so i'm going to do some stuff! i have found it helpful to myself to do little random tasks, like 5-15 minutes at a time, of things that i really don't want to do, but need to. dumb things like go through my closet again and get rid of the things that i didn't wear once last year. go through my bag of papers in the closet. throw away or donate the little things i brought with me that i haven't used or thought about in the past year. i am making more space in this little place. i was absolutely delighted! to see that this over the sink dish rack i had been eyeing for months and months was finally back in stock at amz so i ordered it right away. my kitchen is so tiny and right now having a dish drying rack on the counter leaves me with a space that is literally 15 inches by 18 to do all of my chopping and cooking. i was making cookies a couple of weekends ago and you know, you get all of your stuff out and measured before you start doing anything. but i didn't have enough room for both the bowl and the mixer on the counter so i had to put the bowl in the sink. it sucks but this new drying rack is going to really improve things. i'm so excited for it to come tomorrow! so, that's all i wanted to say, that the snow came and it was beautiful and i loved it and then it started raining so it'll mostly be gone tomorrow. that's cool. then boss has a trip for me to go on to pick something up, tomorrow or friday, then i might see my brother, then the weekend and baking! and that's it. everything's great, thanks. now i'm gonna go cook a bunch of pancakes with little pieces of sausage in them. <33 |
