my job is the best.

today boss called me before i even got here and i ended up having to go on a journey for an hour and 15 minutes or so, then when i got back boss still wasn't back yet so i ran back into my house and grabbed myself some food, came here and ate it, and 5 minutes before i was finished boss ran in and said "want to go on a trip?" and i said sure, give me 5 minutes. so 5 minutes later we were in the truck dropping off some inventory elsewhere, then we were going over to boss's parents' house to meet the electrician who was to fix his pool pump. i was texting and reading the internet and walking laps around the pool but then it started raining, so boss's mom insisted i come inside out of the rain, so i did. there we sat inside for two and a half hours and she showed me all of the family photos, took a tour of the house, told me all of her feelings about everyone (does not care for boss's wife at all because "she's 55 years old and can't cook?" *insert disgusted middle-eastern woman facial expression*), sat on the porch in a chair swing until mosquitoes started eating us alive, then invited me to come over whenever i wanted. it was wonderful. and now i'm back here in the office. best friend and i have a great trip planned for wednesday, then we'll have our ladies weekend together this weekend, then maybe my dad will be coming to visit, then another weekend of celebrating and lounging together. bless this simple, happy little life, and the people in it who love me. i started writing about something else but it was getting CRAZY and i ain't got time for that! let's end it on a high note, on the same night. let's start the habit baby. <3 |
